In a surprising crossover event that breaks traditional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Disclosed
According to the formal release, "A strange meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of forbidden rituals and terrifying changes reverberate through the darkness." The plot presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine cult.
The questline centers on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Transformations
The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
